I'm a nice guy who thrives on being physically active, emotionally available and open, trustworthy, intelligent, fun, thankful for what I do have, and wants to share my life with a lovely woman who has similar traits.

I've been a competitive distance runner in high school and college and beyond up to present time. I love the physical sensation of running. At times it is extremely sensual and peaceful, even if I'm running at a hard effort over many miles.

I'm fascinated with human behavior. For twenty-seven years I was a professor of Sociology at California State University, Fullerton. Since 1984, I have been
a psychotherapist in private practice in Westlake Village, California. I truly love helping people get to the core of their emotional problems and resolving them with the kind of therapy I do which is called Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy.

I've written two screenplays with a dear friend of mine, also a shrink. We're now attempting to get them sold and we have lots more ideas for movie scripts. Our screenplays tend to be about relationships--more on the chick-flick spectrum than on the super-macho chase and destroy mode.

I'm on this fitness/dates program to do more than just have lots of dates that peter out. I'm definitely looking for a wonderful woman who is fitness oriented who wants to share a deep relationship with me. The depth of our relationship will rest on honesty, respect, and the capacity for feeling and sharing emotional closeness.

My idea of fun is to enjoy the moments of pleasure that sweep through me as I live my life. Much of my fun--joy and pleasure--comes at times when I'm not necessarily planning fun.

I have fun being with people I care about and with whom I have warm, loving feelings. I have fun watching people. I have fun eating foods I like, helping other people, being with my two awesome dogs (the're goldendoodles), giving and receiving physical touch with mammals--mostly humans--I love, and allowing my body to have the physical sensations of my emotions. I love being at the beach, especially when there are exceptionally low tides.

Having long runs, holding hands with my lover, sharing time and emotions are wonderfully fun, too. Going to sleep with my lover is fun and so is what we do before we go to sleep.
